One catch, that should go without saying: no mentioning the questions or answers to others. :)

But I dare you to repost this.

Updateyness

The new job is going well.  The pay is horrible but the work is interesting and I'm learning a lot.  I'm putting in some nasty hours too.  Yesterday, I worked from 8 to 7:30.  70 hour work week for the win!  I am le tired. <Well, have a nap!  ...then FIRE ZE MISSILES!>

I don't get to see my daughter enough.  I tried to see her this weekend but the ex wasn't cooperative stating that she [ex] was sick and that The Kid had softball practice.  It's true, and I don't want to take her away from softball practice but still...I miss her.

Rockband 2 continues to be awesome though I'm continually thwarted by difficult solos on Expert guitar.  I had some folks over on Thursday and we rocked.  Hard.  :)

That's all I've got.  I'm going to shower and stuff now.

Madrigal and discovery.

So Madrigal...

Madrigal was good.

As a note:  Having a voice in your characters head that is constantly telling you to kill your wife is NOT cool.  I know.  You needed me to tell you this.  Really.  It did make for an interesting, if a bit over-angsty, dynamic for the entire weekend.

The fights I had were fun and clean.  All of them.  The War Golem costume was amazing and awesome.  Lupa was fun to roleplay with because I don't think she was expecting me to chime in at all (though admittedly my brain failed me at the second opportunity to speak with her).  The Conclave was a good excuse to dress up in clothes  I don't get to use very often and ryxander was scary (!!) as usual.  The Elshean thing was interesting but not really my scene.  The rogue Anaketh fight was a BLAST for me as I got to wander around unmolested as, I think, I looked like just another dark shape on the snow.  It didn't go as planned and some people did some things that weren't exactly intelligent but it was at least a partial success.  The Black Templar/Nexus encounter was a TON of fun for me and I think I really shined on that encounter, if I do say so myself.  It was also a blast for reasons I can't say here (Plot-folks - You know what I'm talking about.)

Which brings me to the Lord of Winter...

Here's a little background:  Galan has always hated the Fae.  Always.  They're frivolous and silly with too much power to show for it, in his opinion.  You could even say he's a tad jealous of the fact that they haven't worked for any of the power that they have.  At least as far as he's concerned.

For those that don't know what happened, Galan's wife, Kiri (ravensgrace), was abducted by the Lord of Winter.  Try as he might he couldn't follow them.  Couldn't rescue her.  Couldn't do anything at all to stop it.  He cracked.  He was a sobbing weeping mess on his knees in the snow.  (thank you, Ocalan, for putting your cloak over me and another thank you to both Ocalan and tashewolfe for some awesome roleplay immediately afterward).  In case you don't know me that well, I don't consider myself much of a roleplayer.  I'm more of a thug.  I hit stuff.  It's what I'm best at.   I didn't know that I could even manifest that kind of emotion in game.  I was completely shocked.  And amazed.  And stuff.

So, thank you to everyone, PC and NPC alike, that made this a wonderful event in which I feel I've grown a great deal as a gamer.  I owe you all one.

Dream

Another dream.  Kind of neat.  I try to write them all down.

I dreamed that I'd bought a book and was reading it.  It was about some evil warlord at war with some country (Details are fuzzy).  Suddenly, I was no longer reading the story but was living it out from the Warlord's mage-advisor point of view.  We were trying to divine a way through the enemies defenses via a plant mixture that gave us visions.  I remember discussing the proper plants to pick and crushing them all together quite vividly.  I also remember thinking that if we had a large clam or oyster shell we could use that as a mixing apparatus and then suddenly seeing one on the ground.  So, we ate this plant mixture and began to draw in the dirt (apparently we didn't have pen and parchment).  He began drawing out battle plans but my vision was dominated by a large tower with a huge crystal at the top of it.  Eye shaped.  I could only draw that when asked what I saw.

Then I woke up.

Yep.  Seems like a combination of the Dark Tower and Lord of the Rings to me.  It was an interesting dream.

Total improv on the spot decision.

I'm going to TT the Bears tonight for some booze and some fun.  I think other people should show up.  If they do, great!  If not, I'm still going.  Maybe I'll see people there, maybe not.  :)

Weeee!

Spontaneous!

Copy this sentence into your LiveJournal if you're in a heterosexual marriage, and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.

(or have been or will be in a heterosexual marriage)

Now, I'm not in a marriage, heterosexual or otherwise, but I absolutely agree with the message of the above.

I r teh gothy.

So, I went to TT the Bears with a bunch of folks last night...

Wow, I had a great time.  Goth nights rule.  And also, goth women are HOT!  Hot I say!  It was good to see folks that I don't normally see outside of larps.

And I danced.  Like the whole night.  Who knew?

Hats off to ehawk, outlawbard, redfirelily, eclecticgypsie, ayeshak, and the others.  I had a blast, thank you.

Ugh, my head hurts.  Next time I need to remember to EAT before I drink. :)

Dre-e-e-e-eam. Dream dream dreeeaaam. And also GOOD! :)

Scenario Unknown.

In this dream, I saw what I think may have been myself, but with twisted black shiny-like-oil skin, and worst of all...SHORT HAIR!.  We'll call him Bob.  In my dream, Bob, was being beaten up.  By me.  Mostly because, if I remember correctly and, to be perfectly clear I'm fairly certain that I don't, he was trying to do A-mysterious-something that I didn't approve of.  I'm sure it was something atrocious and horrible.  This isn't why this dream stuck with me though.  This dream stuck with me because of a single scream.

I've never actually heard a scream like this before.  This scream somehow encompassed every single negative emotion that I can think of.  Hatred, Sadness, Jealousy, Anger, Frustration (anger's younger brother), etc etc.  It was really really disturbing.

Recently, someone mentioned to me that dreams were the brains dumping ground and I believed them.  This however, struck me as "proof".

My interpretation of the dream?  I could have simply been taking care of all the negativity stored up in my brain.  But what if it meant something else?  What if dreams really are minor prophecy and I'm going to do something horrible in the future?  I've had dreams that have come true.  They were very unimportant but it has happened.  As a note, I think this is where deja vu comes from, but that's just a theory.  I suppose it doesn't really matter because, if this dream hadn't woken me up at 5 am, I wouldn't have remembered it anyway.

Regardless, I'm going to pick up Alyssa today!  This is cause for much rejoicing and happiness.  Plans for the weekend include seeing Wall-E and a trip the New England Aquarium on Sunday.  It should be a great deal of fun.  :)

Your Score: House Tyrell

36% Dominant, 63% Extroverted, 45% Trustworthy

Vivacious. Gregarious. Dangerous. Slightly gay. Not to be trusted, you are of House Tyrell.

You are of a more submissive personality, though this is not to say that you are unambitious. On the contrary, you know that the spotlight brings more than glory. Unwilling to be saddled with the accusations and petty treacheries of court life, you are content to let someone else hold the reigns of the empire. You’re in the thick of it, though; no one makes a move that you haven’t anticipated. Those headstrong types are so easy to control.

You are also extroverted, which means that no matter how subtly you move your hand, everyone knows that you’re a player--a major one. Your sociability makes you a boon to the smallfolk, though in truth they love a façade. Your god-given talents will often excuse you from criticism, but jealousy will follow you like a dog wherever you go.

You are definitely untrustworthy. Behind you beaming smiles and polite laughter lurks the most dangerous kind of enemy: a charismatic one. You’re opportunistic, and all the more treacherous for your subtlety. An efficient political machine, you are always evaluating yourself as well as your surroundings. There’s no room for error in your household or yourself, and you’ll cut off the hand that offends you.

Representative characters include: Margery Tyrell, Loras Tyrell, and Olenna Redwyne.

Similar Houses: Baratheon, Frey, Tully

Opposite House: Lannister

Seat: Highgarden

When playing the game of thrones, you play it with style.
